PRECISTA ROYAL NAVY AUTO -1982- HAS TO BE THE BEST ONE IVE SEEN & OWNED
MODEL RN Diver
SERIAL NUMBER 1294/82
DESCRIPTION Ive been collecting military diver’s for many years and owned a few of these including selling one this year. But in all my years ive never seen one of these 82 Precista Autos in such beautiful all round condition.
The case is sharp and still retains the machine brushing and straight fixed bars. The dial is perfect and the lume still glows under UV . The white painted hands have non of the usual tool marks from removing them at service and still glow. The bezel turns well and showing very light markings and still the lume triangle still glows under UV. The original plexy has a few light scratches as does the case back.
This came out of a house clearence and has never been in the hands of a collector and i would guess its been sitting a draw for many years. I wound it up and put it on my timing machine and couldn’t believe the results!! After the Rolex submariner, CWC had the MOD contract to supply their dive watches in 1980 & 1981 . Pescista then in small numbers 1982 with this auto, then back to CWC with the Quartz movement diver. Very few of these now exist and these a now very sought after among the serous mil watch collectors.
